Giant Revolt, Defy and TCR: Choosing Compatible 10PLUS Wheels
Three Giant families, three different jobs. Start with the axle, rotor, cassette and tyres.
First: identify your exact Giant
The Revolt is a gravel bike; the Defy (endurance) and TCR (race) are road bikes. All three have been through several generations, and older Defy and TCR models were sold with rim brakes. 10PLUS wheels are disc-only, so check your model year, brakes and cassette first.
With disc brakes and the right configuration, the 10PLUS range covers the common modern standards on all three.
Axles
The standard disc setup across the 10PLUS range is 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear. That's the first number to confirm, whichever Giant you ride.
Don't order from the family name alone — specs can change between model years even when the name stays the same.
Rotors and freehub
The 10PLUS wheels covered here use Center Lock rotors and come with Shimano HG, Shimano Micro Spline or SRAM XDR freehubs. Match the wheel to the hardware already on the bike.
Road builds like the Defy and TCR usually run Shimano HG or SRAM XDR; a 1x Revolt may use Micro Spline or XDR. Read the exact cassette model to be sure — it decides the freehub, and the rotor interface decides the rotor fit.
Rim width and tyres
Match the range to the bike: the Revolt suits the Gravel T Series (25mm internal at 38mm depth, 24mm at 45mm), while the Defy and TCR suit the Road T Series (21mm internal).
Either way, check the tyre maker's approved rim-width range for the tyres you run.
Our 10PLUS recommendation
Match your axle, rotor and cassette standards first. Once those line up, our value defaults are the Gravel T Series 38mm for the Revolt and the Road T Series 50mm for the Defy and TCR.
Step up to the E Series if lower weight, ceramic bearings and 45T engagement are priorities. If you're unsure which generation you have, confirm the spec before you click buy.
