Cannondale Topstone Carbon Wheels: Will 10PLUS Fit?
The Topstone is one of the most popular gravel bikes around, and we've seen it running 10PLUS wheels. Here's what to check first — especially if yours has a Lefty fork.
First: identify your exact Topstone
Cannondale sells the Topstone in alloy and carbon versions, across several trims and model years, so the name alone doesn't pin down the wheel spec. Check your bike's model year, fork, current wheels and cassette before ordering.
The 10PLUS gravel range covers the common modern disc standards, as long as you choose the right configuration.
The Lefty question
Some Topstone Carbon models use Cannondale's single-sided Lefty Oliver suspension fork. A Lefty needs its own Lefty-specific front hub, so a standard 12x100mm front wheel — 10PLUS included — won't fit it.
If your Topstone has a Lefty, a 10PLUS rear wheel may still match your frame, but you'd need a separate Lefty-compatible front wheel. On a Topstone with a conventional two-legged fork, this section doesn't apply.
Axles, rotors and freehub
The standard disc setup across the 10PLUS range is 12x100mm front and 12x142mm rear thru-axle, with Center Lock rotors. Confirm both on your own Topstone rather than a generic spec page.
Many 1x gravel builds run Micro Spline or XDR cassettes rather than HG, so read the exact cassette model before choosing Shimano HG, Shimano Micro Spline or SRAM XDR. The cassette decides the freehub.
Rim width and tyres
The Topstone is a gravel bike, so the Gravel range is the natural match: 25mm internal at 38mm depth and 24mm at 45mm. 10PLUS lists its gravel rims for 700c tyres from 700x32 to 700x50C.
If your Topstone currently runs 650b wheels, check the frame's 700c tyre clearance before ordering, and make sure your tyre width sits inside the tyre maker's approved range for these rims.
Our 10PLUS recommendation
On a Topstone with a standard fork, match your axle, rotor and cassette standards first. Once those line up, the Gravel T Series 38mm is our value default, with 45mm for faster, smoother routes.
Step up to the E Series if lower weight, ceramic bearings and 45T engagement are priorities. If you're unsure which Topstone you have — or whether it has a Lefty — confirm the spec before you click buy.
