Are Ceramic Bearings Worth It on 10PLUS Wheels?
Short answer: sometimes. Here's when we'd pay the E Series premium.
What the premium buys
The E Series pairs ceramic bearings with a 45T star ratchet and a lighter wheel build. It's a package upgrade, not just a bearing swap.
Both tiers use S&S-branded bearings, according to 10PLUS's own spec — steel cartridges on the T Series, ceramic on the E Series. So the E Series premium pays for the ceramic material and the rest of the package, not a different bearing brand.
For plenty of riders, the T Series already does everything they need.
Who should buy ceramic
Racers, weight-conscious riders and anyone who simply wants the premium setup are the natural E Series buyers. The ceramic bearings feel smooth and the 45T engagement is quicker.
If your bike mostly does commutes or steady endurance rides, the extra cost is much harder to justify.
Same proven build
The T Series has the longest independent test behind it — 2,000km with no structural issues. The E Series takes the same build and adds ceramic bearings, 45T engagement and lower weight.
Verdict
Buy the E Series for the whole premium package. Buy the T Series if you want the most for your money.
